High school Brazil

Program objectives

The High School Program is designed to provide to student a wonderful experience of life while studying and living with a Brazilian Host Family for one semester or one year in Brazil. Students can come and learn from the culture difference while becoming more mature, independent and improving the language knowledge.

Why study in Brazil

Brazil is a place that has a little bit of everything. Its unique characteristics ensure international fame, attracting thousands of tourists for every part of the world, all year long. The diversity of the culture and the scenery are the country's strong points. But the best part you only get to know when you arrive here: the Brazilian people. The country, exuberant nature, warm and cheerful people, fabulous beaches, cosmopolitan cities, diversified cultures and tropical climate, is fast becoming a world favorite destination point. A place with the magic of people that don´t let themselves stop to be happy.

Entry requirements

Students between fifteen and eighteen years old who are currently enrolled at a High School in their Countries can participate in the Program. Students need to be mature, adaptable, independent, desire to learn and live in a different country.

We suggest intermediate level of English to facilitate adaptation in the beginning of the program. Knowledge of Portuguese is not mandatory although suggested.

The Brazilian High School

Brazilian High Schools are divided into 3 years. International Students will be placed in classes considering their previous education and transcript. International Student will have the opportunity to study with Brazilian students of his same age range. The classes will be ministered in Portuguese and students will be exposed to the language during the whole time. The student will be assisted by School Coordinators to make sure they are adapting well to the School environment.

Duration

The program can be of an academic year or semester. Occasionally we can organize smaller terms (2-month programs).

Students will find the best assistance

Students will have the ongoing support of our Staff and will be monitored by our area coordinators in the Host city. Everyone involved in the program will provide the best support possible to make the student comfortable in the region and to ease his/her adaptation process.

Brazilians host families

Brazilian People are considered one of the most receptive in the World. Host families are volunteers and host for the simple desire to share their culture and way of life with another person and learn from them as well.
